This project will add 167 units of purely affordable housing to the San Francisco market are we are ecstatic to get to be apart of it!

Monday we finished out our last big structural pour on our podium project at 5150 El Camino Real in Los Altos, CA with Base Builders, Inc. and !

83,000 Sq/ft of post tensioned deck in 7 sections!

Supported by 119 columns and 27,000 Sq/ft of shotcrete retaining and shear walls! The first photo really shows the scale of this project 💪

All in under 6 months and almost a MONTH ahead of schedule! 🙌

540 yards pumped in on this last one by our friends and finished by Landavazo Brothers Inc.

Today was Day 4 of and we are really hitting our stride with our morning stretch and toolbox talks! Great to see so many of our teams actively engaged in our safety topics!

Today was all about “Engaging and Empowering Team Members”. Open communication by all team members and management is key to this. We want everyone to have the confidence that they are trusted and empowered to create a safe working environment for themselves and others and to feel comfortable communicating input when things need improvements.

Our crew out at 5150 El Camino in Los Altos, CA for Base Builders, Inc. got a visit from Hilti Group with a demonstration of tools that make the work lighter, easing fatigue and creating safer operating conditions.

Our , Medical Education Building project (for Turner Construction) crew had our own huddle as well as joining the for the site wide Toolbox Talk!

Our 750 Golden Gate for project team led by our own Luis Ramos, took this opportunity to put this week’s knowledge to use as we prepare to put in our 2200 Cubic Yard Mat this Saturday!

Our 18722 Sherman Way Crew in Reseda, CA. (For Suffolk) joined the Crews to talk about “Owning Your Part”.

Talking points included: “Knowing the Hazards”, “Communicate Ownership to your Team”, “Leading by Example”, “Being present in the Field”, “Plan your Work and Work your Plan” and “STOP” (Empowering everyone to stop work if safety is compromised).

Great to see our General Contractors back us up on this with the goal of ZERO incidents!

We began day 2 of with a morning Stretch and Toolbox Talk about STCKY or “Stuff That Could Kill You” Hazards. In our particular scope of work, we work with some of these hazards everyday. Things like Motion from heavy equipment, Picks and Crane lifts, Falls, as our crew is often working at height and pinches and crushes from the heavy formwork we work with. We work closely with our fellow trade partners to collaborate safely and effectively. Encouraging our teams to “Own Your Part” of their safety for themselves, their fellow teammates and other trades.
