Today, Sam (beetle) and Claire (figure with umbrella) are both wearing embroidery projects they have created.

🧵🪡Now we need Bonnie & Elle to jump on the fiber-arts bandwagon with them and start some embroidery + visible mending projects.

Also, surprise! Claire joined the Studio BBA team a couple weeks ago. A proper introduction full of fun facts and her headshot coming at you soon!

Earlier this year we completed the sweetest renovation for a repeat client looking to finally get an en-suite primary bedroom, remodel this kitchen, refresh the bedrooms, refinish the fireplace & this gorgeous staircase.

With new textured glass for added privacy, fresh trim, new paint, and refinished stair treads this stairwell has been brought back to its prime. The curve and lightness of the light fixture was chosen to emphasize the dramatic window, not distract from it.

1,487 photos later, with its distillery, bar and restaurant is opening to the public. Distinctly Californian with a little bit of Italian inspired charm, the new space is sun drenched and packed with plants, delicious food, and the very most delicious amaro cocktails. 🥃

First photo is Sam, the architect and designer of the new space, arriving for mock services last week. Swipe to the end to see her dancing with excitement at the beginning when the project was getting ready to start construction.

Bonnie and I had a beautiful evening last night with Christine Weber . In the most charming corner storefront at Hyde and Green, Studio Patro is known by many for their linen aprons, tea towels, and table linens. We talked and touched and talked some more, about design and Ellsworth Kelly inspirations, about being a business in San Francisco, about the beauty and charms of visiting Healdsburg and Sonoma county, the importance of craft and the balance of loving what you do and when it becomes work. We could have stayed all night.

We hope to see more of Christine soon! Pop in next time you walk by to be embraced by her hospitality and beautifully made linens

Our hearts still ache for the traumatic loss so many people and their communities are experiencing as a result of the destruction and aftermath of the fires in Los Angeles 💔 . In our office, we’ve been planning ways our skills and services can help — help people navigate next steps for rebuilding, expertise on Wildland-Urban-Interface (WUI) construction, probono design consultations.
