Planning a remodel in San Francisco but not sure where to start?

This South San Francisco project was a full transformation of a family residence that had not been remodeled since the 1970's. We added a second floor with tall ceilings, giving the property a larger footprint and a much bigger feel throughout. Higher ceilings and additional windows bring in more natural light, creating brighter, more spacious living areas. The corner lot also features a new upper-level balcony with views, adding outdoor living space to the expanded design.

The difference between a good remodel and an exceptional one is often found in the smallest details. Clean trim transitions, precise millwork, and carefully considered finishes all contribute to the final result. These details may go unnoticed at first glance, but they're what give a home its character, quality, and craftsmanship. It's this level of precision that transforms a remodel into something that stands the test of time.

A home's exterior should reflect the character of what's inside. This corner Victorian in San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury neighborhood retained many of its original interior details, but the exterior no longer reflected the home's historic architecture. Our team restored the façade to its original Victorian design, including a new front porch, custom trim and millwork, new siding, exterior paint, and structural reinforcement. Every detail was completed with the goal of preserving the home's architectural integrity. Swipe to the last photo to see what the home looked like before the restoration.

San Francisco homes are known for their character, but they often require thoughtful planning to meet the demands of modern living. We design custom built-ins, integrated shelving, pantry solutions, and millwork that make every square foot work harder. By incorporating functional elements directly into the design, we create homes that feel larger, more efficient, and tailored to the way our clients live.

This bathroom remodel in San Francisco's Panhandle neighborhood was designed to refresh the space while respecting the home's original character. Blue shower tile was selected to complement the existing stained glass windows, creating a strong visual contrast that draws attention to one of the home's original architectural details. The updated layout, finishes, and natural light make the bathroom feel brighter, more open, and better suited for everyday use.

This custom home build in San Francisco's Midtown Terrace is currently in the demolition phase, clearing the original home to make way for a ground-up build. The project requires extensive excavation to create a level foundation, which is an important part of building on San Francisco's hillside terrain. With neighboring homes positioned higher on the slope, careful leveling and foundation work will establish the base for the new custom residence.

This remodel in the Marina District was designed to create a private retreat within the city. The home reflects the owner’s lifestyle while providing a space to step back and disconnect. This level was converted for hosting, with access to natural light, open views, and integrated features including a w**e fridge and fireplace.
