Caroline Nassif is the founding architect of Studio Ovo. An Egyptian American with 21+ years of experience in the San Francisco Bay Area, she began her career designing student and affordable multifamily housing, then spent a decade at Lundberg Design leading award-winning work across residential, hospitality, and workplace projects.

Caroline is known for her curiosity, empathy, and deeply attentive listening, bringing clarity to a process that can feel unfamiliar, from permits and budgets to drawings and construction. She’s a UT Austin architecture graduate, a licensed California architect, and a LEED AP.

Say hello to Blair Bebgie! 👋
Blair is a senior designer and project manager at Studio Ovo. Before joining the team, she worked at WRNS Studio and Aidlin Darling Design on projects ranging from a Silicon Valley campus to nonprofit 826 Valencia’s Mission Bay Center. A former ballet dancer and musician, Blair brings an artist’s discipline to space-making, composing from concept down to the smallest detail.

She earned her M.Arch from Tulane University, studied in Rome, and helped build a home from the ground up with Tulane’s UrbanBuild program. Blair is especially interested in natural materials and collaborative practices that reduce the environmental impact of the built environment. Inspired by Carlo Scarpa’s poetic detail and Charlotte Perriand’s joyful rigor, she looks to site history and local craft to create timeless work. Outside the studio, she often walks in Golden Gate Park and hikes in West Marin.

Happy Lunar New Year!🧧
As we enter our fifth year, we’re feeling especially grateful for our work, our community, and our team. We thought it was the perfect moment to properly introduce ourselves, starting with the people behind the work!

Ying Ying is a designer and consultant at Studio Ovo, collaborating with the team since reconnecting with her longtime friend Caroline after their early days working in affordable housing. Raised in Malaysia and frequently moving homes, she was inspired to pursue architecture to create thoughtful places for family. After earning her degree from UC Berkeley’s College of Environmental Design, she finally fulfilled her dream of designing her family’s condo in Malaysia.

At Studio Ovo, Ying focuses on early concept and schematic design, sketching by hand to test ideas and grounding them in material honesty, site context, and history. Researching each client’s story guides her toward spaces that feel timeless rather than trendy. Outside the studio, she recharges by cooking and spending time with her standard poodle, Enzo; her dream project is a tiny Sea Ranch cabin with a bathhouse overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

Studio Ovo is participating in today’s national general strike. As an immigrant-founded practice, this pause reflects a personal commitment to acting with care and intention, and to standing in solidarity with immigrant communities and people of color whose safety, dignity, and sense of home are being threatened in this moment.
