Update from Darynell, who is on the frontlines at Harmon Ranch in Poway. The backyard transformation is in full swing, with the BBQ, planting, and paver work all underway and plenty still to do before the space comes together.

Is there still a lot left to do? Yes. Is Darynell fazed by it? Not even a little. He's doing it!!!!!!

The Melander family’s backyard is finished.

Soft turf underfoot. Clean pavers running through it. Plants and fresh mulch along the edges, and a pergola standing over it all.

It came together beautifully. The kind of yard you sit in at the end of the day and feel glad to be home.

The Melander family's pergola in Rancho Bernardo is almost complete. The structure is up and the finishing touches are underway, giving the backyard a shaded spot for relaxing and entertaining.

The Melander family's Rancho Bernardo yard is finished. Almost.

Everything's in. The hardscape, the planting, the full makeover. What's left is the pergola, and it's worth paying attention to why that matters. A yard without shade is a yard you admire from the kitchen window. A yard with it is one you live in. Same square footage, completely different life.

So the Melanders are one install away!!
