SGPA designed this outdoor b**r garden located in an existing shopping center in historic uptown Monterey! The intimate setting provides a variety of social spaces through flexible seating zones from communal tables to cozy lounge nooks by the fire pit. Shade structures, soft lighting and natural materials also blend seamlessly with the surrounding environment while adding a modern edge with the re-adapted shipping containers

This elementary school whole site modernization reimagines the campus as a more secure, inclusive, and inspiring place for students, enriching both the educational experience and the everyday environment. New spaces dedicated to dance, music, and visual arts support the school’s growing Visual and Performing Arts program, while a shaded outdoor performance stage creates opportunities for learning beyond the classroom walls.

The transformation also includes new kindergarten classrooms with dedicated outdoor play areas, renovations to the Multi-Purpose Room, accessible playground enhancements, and refreshed wayfinding signage. To strengthen campus safety, the administration building was reconfigured and entry access was redesigned to create a secure Single Point of Entry.

Together, these updates create a welcoming, accessible campus designed to support creativity, connection, and student success for years to come. 🏫🎨✨

: This redevelopment envisions a vibrant, walkable, village within an existing 7-acre shopping center in the Bay Area. As part of phase one, we designed a mixed-use building with 28,720 SF of retail below and 303 residential units above.

Amenities include a leasing office, community lounge, game room, bike shop/storage, and shared roof terraces. Flexible street-level tenant space with outdoor seating and landscaping will help create an inviting sense of place for locals and visitors to enjoy!

Construction drawings are underway for Redwood Terrace — a HumanGood Senior Living community in Escondido, CA!

The project provides a new Community Entrance with an open-air entrance structure along 13th Avenue with new covered walkway connecting to the administrative office entrance.

We’ve added inviting social gathering zones along the pathway, featuring seating areas and a decorative Koi pond with natural stone edging, aquatic vegetation, and a bridge over the pond. The design incorporates new windows in the main dining room to provide views to the new Koi pond. The exposed structural framing, natural wood accents, and standing seam metal roofing achieve a rustic-modern architectural style.

Pedestrian pathways are being reconfigured to improve circulation and ADA accessibility, complemented by enhanced landscaping and updated lighting.
