We’re excited to introduce a new series from Coastal CW: Building Science Simplified.🏢

We spend a lot of time talking about waterproofing, sealants, coatings, concrete restoration, and all the things that keep commercial buildings protected. But sometimes the why behind these systems gets lost in the technical details.

That’s what this series is about.

We’re taking real building science topics and breaking them down into plain English, practical information that property managers, facility managers, owners, and CRE professionals can actually use.

First up: Why Buildings Move—and Why Property & Facility Managers Should Care.

Because buildings move. Cracks happen. Water travels. And understanding what’s happening before it becomes a bigger problem can save a lot of time, money, and… uncomfortable conversations. 😉

Our team had a great time at the CREW San Diego Summer Social, connecting with commercial real estate professionals from across the region. Events like these are a great reminder that this industry is built on people first.✨

At Coastal CW, we value opportunities to step away from the job site, have meaningful conversations, strengthen existing partnerships, and meet new faces who are helping shape San Diego’s commercial real estate community.

Before we ever talk about projects, we like to spend time getting to know the people behind them.

One of my favorite things about being at Coastal CW is how much we value our relationships. Sure, we love talking waterproofing, painting, and coatings, but it’s even better when we can get out of the office, catch a Padres game, and spend quality time with the people we work with.🏟️

The VIP suite is awesome, but that’s not really the point. It’s the conversations between innings, catching up with old friends, meeting new ones, and building the kind of relationships that make working together easier down the road.

Thanks to everyone who came out and spent the evening with us. We genuinely appreciate your partnership and can’t wait to do it again.
