What an honor it was to present at the USC Viterbi School of Engineering as part of Masonry Week, presented by the Concrete Masonry Checkoff and California Masonry Council.

The students were incredibly engaged, and the experience brought me back to when we as students were absorbing knowledge from those working in the profession, seeing their work firsthand, and feeling the passion and energy they brought to the next generation of designers and builders.

Being on the other side of that exchange today is truly humbling. If even a small part of our experience can help inspire a student’s trajectory or spark an idea for what their future in the profession might look like, it is a privilege to be part of it.

Thank you to USC Viterbi, Concrete Masonry Checkoff, and California Masonry Council for the opportunity. It was a pleasure to share, connect, and hopefully give back a little of what was once given to me.

A conversation with Dana Blasi, Co-Owner of City 24 boutique hotel.

The end result of the Architecture is more than what you see, it’s the understanding of what needs to be! through the eyes of the user / tenant / guest / Owner. It’s about listening through conversation and collaboration so together we can bring the best project forward.

Wildfire is part of the California landscape - and resilient architecture needs to respond.
