Life gets busy, and filters are easy to forget! A dirty filter can restrict airflow and make your AC and heating system work harder to keep your home comfortable.

Here are five simple tips from Air Rx AC & Heating:

✅ Check your filter every month. Make it a habit—even during heating season.

✅ Replace it when it’s dirty. Follow your filter and equipment manufacturer’s recommended schedule. Different filters have different lifespans.

✅ Use the correct size and type. Unsure which filter your system needs? We’re happy to help.

✅ Set a phone reminder. Write the installation date on the filter’s frame and keep a spare handy.

✅ Install it correctly. Turn the system off before changing the filter, and point the airflow arrow toward the equipment.

At Air Rx AC & Heating, we’re offering an Early Bird $79 Furnace Heat & Safety Inspection, and we’re including a FREE Basic Drain Line Flush for anyone who may have missed their seasonal AC maintenance or didn’t have their drain line properly flushed this past summer.

After working hard through another Texas summer, buildup can develop in your AC drain system. So while we’re checking your heating system and getting you ready for the cooler weather, we’ll also perform a basic flush of the drain line at no additional charge.

For me, it’s not just about getting another service call. I’ve been doing this for over 20 years, and I want people to have a local company they can call, ask questions, and feel comfortable knowing they’re going to get an honest answer.
