They formed a strong working relationship building custom architectural wood products for the homes designed and constructed by their employer. After working together for 8 years, following a steep downturn in the economy, their employer was forced to dissolve his company leaving Chad and Blake to find other jobs. Chad spent the following year working as a manager for a cabinet door shop and Blake
worked for a sign company along with his full time career as a firefighter. In 2010 they were contacted by a client and asked to complete a custom kitchen remodel. Chad and Blake accepted the project, rented the corner of an existing cabinet shop, and completed the project during their time off. After the successful completion of this kitchen another job presented itself, then another, and another, until it was decided that it was time to leave the comfort and security of the cabinet door shop and the sign shop to go out on their own. It was at this time that Red Leaf Design was created. Starting out with only their knowledge, a few tools, and very little capital, Chad and Blake began what has, in the space of five years, blossomed into a company with over $650,000.00 in gross sales, three full time employees and one part time employee. Red Leaf Design now operates two divisions, their general contracting division and their millwork division. These two divisions support each other to provide customers with a high quality finished product. Although the company has two divisions Red Leaf Design operates with an all-in approach. All employees are cross trained to support both divisions. This ensures our customers the best quality product and customer service.
