Some projects are only possible with the right team.

The recently completed OR 5 at St. Mark’s Hospital was a true partnership between St. Mark’s Hospital, Steed Construction, and TSA Architects. From design kickoff through construction to the first patient, the entire project came together in just five months.

Meeting that accelerated schedule meant design and construction had to happen simultaneously—requiring constant communication, quick decisions, flexibility, and, most importantly, trust between everyone involved.

That collaboration kept the project moving and allowed challenges to be addressed in real time without losing sight of the end goal.

We’re proud of what this team accomplished together and excited to share the finished space!

We had an incredible evening celebrating this year's CANstruction Salt Lake City awards! 🎉

Our USS CANstitution was honored with three awards:
🏆 Best Original Design
🏆 People's Choice
🏆 Best Meal

We're so proud of what our team created and grateful to everyone who voted and supported our build. A huge thank you to our incredible partners Reaveley Engineers, Trim Art, Wallboard Specialties and Roppe Corporation for helping bring the USS CANstitution to life.

Most importantly, we're proud to be part of an event that uses creativity and collaboration to help fight food insecurity. After the exhibition, all of the canned and packaged food used in the sculptures will be donated to Utah Food Bank.

Congratulations to all of this year's teams, and thank you to everyone who made CANstruction another incredible success!

One project makes way for the next. 👀

With the new Emergency Department now open at the George E. Wahlen VA Medical Center, we're excited to share a first look at what's coming next.

Designed in partnership with RDC+EA, the new Canteen & Retail Services expansion will transform the former ER services into a welcoming hub with dining, retail, and gathering spaces for Veterans, their families, and hospital staff.

We can't wait to see these renderings become reality.

But beneath the dirt piles, temporary ductwork, and controlled chaos, a new 3T MRI suite is taking shape at St. Mark's Hospital.

Healthcare renovations are rarely simple. Upgrading technology in an active hospital requires careful planning, coordination, and a willingness to see the finished vision long before it exists.

We're excited to watch this space transform into an advanced imaging environment that will support patients and caregivers for years to come.

This Fourth of July, we're celebrating the people, places, and history that have shaped our nation.

As part of the America 250 celebration, our team recreated one of America's most iconic ships—the USS Constitution—using canned and packaged food. The "USS CANstitution" honors a vessel that has served as a symbol of resilience, ingenuity, and patriotism for more than two centuries.
