Hiring a contractor with an MHIC license protects you as the consumer against shoddy work or work left uncompleted. Having this license does not mean that one contractor is more skilled than another. Being licensed by the MD Home Improvement Commission presents protection to the you the consumer. Many contractors say they are "Licensed & Insured". Make sure to protect yourself and hire an MHIC licensed contractor.

I broke my own policy to not recommend another contractor and this is what the homeowner got for a charge of over $300. This glob of caulk in the corner and where my fingers are was no caulk where there should have been! I told the homeowner that we will make it right and do the caulking below the vent myself. It's a shame that there are contractors that don't complete the job correctly. I guess they feel like no one will check on the work completed. On top of this, they utilized our scaffolding to reach the area. NO MORE RECOMMENDATIONS!!

It's always good to get second quote or another opinion because inept and unethical contractors and bullsh*tters grow old too.
