💪 A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of welcoming back a familiar face to Delaware Elevator!

Before joining the National Association of Elevator Contractors as Global Education and Safety Officer, David Smarte spent many years as a valued member of the Delaware Elevator team.

It was great to have Dave back on campus sharing his knowledge and experience with our employees during a CET Certifying Exam preparation session.

His training provided valuable guidance for team members pursuing certification and served as a reminder of the importance of continuous learning, professional development, and investing in the future of our industry.

Thank you, Dave, for returning to DEI for the day and helping to educate the next generation of elevator professionals. We also appreciate NAEC’s continued commitment to workforce development and industry education.

Today, on National Elevator Mechanics Day, we want to recognize the people who truly built Delaware Elevator. 💙

As we celebrate 80 years in business this year, with our roots going back to the early 1930s, we’ve spent a lot of time reflecting on how we got here. The answer is simple: our people. 🙌

Delaware Elevator started as a small family business, and while we’ve grown tremendously over the decades, one thing has never changed - we would not be where we are today without the technicians, helpers, adjusters, repair crews, and field teams who built this company’s reputation and continue carrying it forward every single day.

Through long nights, emergency calls, difficult jobs, changing technology, busy construction schedules, and everything in between, our field employees have helped Delaware Elevator grow generation after generation and continue building the future of this company for the next generation to come.

The elevators may carry people, but it’s our technicians who carry Delaware Elevator. 💯

To every past and present Delaware Elevator technician, thank you for the craftsmanship, loyalty, sacrifice, pride, and hard work you’ve poured into this company and this industry over the years. You are the heart of Delaware Elevator and always will be.

We are especially proud to have our very own Stefanie Lundmark serving on the board and honored to be surrounded by so many incredible professionals who continue to make a positive impact across our community.
