Jones Gillam Renz Architects offers full architectural and design services in a variety of industries including: Multi-family housing, senior living, affordable housing, historic rehabilitation & preservation, commercial, industrial, educational, healthcare, and much more! Our team is licensed to work in 12 different states: Kansas, Missouri, Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa, Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, Arizona and California. We have 2 office locations: Salina, Kansas and Kansas City, Missouri. Our the past 75 years, the firm has welcomed several new principals and partners, which eventually led to the current firm name: Jones Gillam Renz. We currently have 4 principals: Jeff Gillam, Charles Renz, Maggie Gillam and Chris Gillam. Our company prides itself on our "team philosophy". All principals participate and contribute to each of the phases of the project, along with our design team, ensuring quality service and design, prudent control of costs, and the versatility and expertise of the entire staff. The "team concept" or team approach is not new or unique. It is however, an important ingredient to the overall success of the project. Jones Gillam Renz emphasizes and understands that the client, owner, users, staff, and all associated representatives or committees must have input into the total design process, as a team effort.

Last week, JGR joined the celebration for the Grand Opening of The Residence at Heritage West (located in Andover, KS), and what a milestone worth celebrating!

With 45+ Kansas companies coming together to make this project a reality, it’s a true testament to what can happen when a community invests in its future.

Every detail tells a story.

At the Landmark on Cypress in downtown Abilene, Texas, skilled craftsmen are carefully repairing the historic plaster and recreating the original decorative molding on the second floor mezzanine. It's meticulous work, but it's these details that preserve the character and craftsmanship of a place for future generations.

Formerly the West Texas Utilities Company Headquarters, constructed in phases starting in 1923, this 7-story blonde brick building will be transformed into 47 apartments & lofts, with commercial spaces along Cypress St. and N. 3rd Street.

Historic rehabilitation is about more than saving old buildings—it's about bringing them back to life while honoring the artistry that made them worth preserving in the first place.

The Landmark on Cypress marks JGR's first historic rehabilitation project in Abilene, and we're excited to help preserve a piece of their history.
