Central Rockies Land Surveying- a small, but growing, local business is seeking a part-time Bookkeeper/Accountant to work with us approximately 2-3 days per week.
Must have prior experience with accounting and bookkeeping.
Must have experience, knowledge and proficiency using QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online and Intuit.
Must be able to generate payroll, handle deductions for taxes, insurance, IRA's, etc...
Must be able to perform basic administration and office management tasks.
Must be able to produce reports such as profit/loss, accounts payable and receivable, and prep tax documents to send to our tax accountants.
The position is mandatory in-office in our Salida office for at least 1-2 days per week. Some remote work is possible and our schedule is flexible, but understand that some in-office work will be mandatory. We are somewhat flexible on working hours as well.
Position is part-time for now with potential for full time position in the future. Pay is $30-$35 per hour depending on experience.

Did you Know?

The Mason Dixon Line is actually a survey line?

Charles Mason, an assistant astronomer at Greenwich Observatory, and Jeremiah Dixon, an astronomer, mathematician and surveyor, were hired to survey an agreed-upon line to settle a dispute between Pennsylvania and Maryland. It took 4 years and cost $75,000 to run the 233 mile line. Modern surveys have shown it to be an accurate survey, within a couple of seconds of latitude. (Info gathered from LandSurveyor.US)

Thats right, Land Surveying was first used by the Ancient Egyptians. The Egyptians were the first civilization to utilize private land surveying. The practice goes back over 3,000 years! The perfect square shape of the Great Pyramid of Giza is a perfect example.
