We’re thrilled to be recognized with an Excellence in Concrete Award for the Cottage Grove Main Street Revitalization!

This project promoted the understanding of historic preservation and restoration. A huge focal point of this project was the over 650 CY of black colored concrete. The project required doweled black concrete paving in main road areas, along with white concrete in the intersections. The restoration done in the historic downtown area will be enjoyed for years to come by all who visit.

The visit provided an opportunity to share insight into our operations and highlight the facilities and processes behind the quality materials we produce. Please help us congratulate Kenny Jones and Jason Sparks for receiving the Liberty Mutual Life Saver Award!

On the way back from a job site, they assisted drivers who were in a head-on collision. One of the drivers involved desperately tried to wave down passing vehicles for help. After several cars drove by without stopping, Kenny and Jason were the first ones to stop. They immediately called 911 and remained with the drivers until emergency services arrived. One driver was severely injured; Kenny stayed with him to make sure he did not move and stayed calm until proper care arrived. Jason stayed with the other driver and his dog to help them stay calm. In recognition of their quick thinking and compassion, they won the award for their acts of heroism, bravery and quick thinking in an emergency situation.
