Washington County Good Earth Master Gardeners (GEMG) had a wonderful visit and tour of Bundle Sticks Farm in Lanesville, Indiana. This is a Craft-Focused Farm growing materials for wreaths, broom, baskets, etc. They also raise sheep and have a native plant nursery. Visit Bundle Sticks Farm website for more information.

Thanks to everyone that stopped by our booth today at the Washington County Farmers Market on the Bricks. Such fun demonstrating how to make DIY bird feeders and to see the excitement of taking the kit to make it at home. Thankful that many enjoyed the plants that Good Earth Master Gardeners brought.

Stop by and see us tomorrow at the Washington County Farmers Market on the Bricks. Birds are really hungry this time of year and we will demonstrating how you can easily make Pine Cone Bird Feeders. Great activity for all ages! A free kit with directions will be given away while supplies last. Some Master Gardeners are bringing plants for sale. Hope to see you there!

Today the planters on the Salem Square continue to bloom and provide beauty as we approach October.
The Good Earth Master Gardeners of Washington County would like to thank Mayor Justin Green for his leadership and support. We also thank Lincks; Lincoln Hills Insurance; Heaven Sent and Born Businesses and staff for their help in watering and checking on the planters. It has been a team success as we continue to learn about the different flowers and the planter wicking systems. Thanks to all!

This heat is brutal but the flowers on Salem Square are still providing beauty to the area. They look forward to their water and fertilizing. The pollinators are enjoying them. Hope Washington County is too.

Unfortunately we had to change our original date for visiting B & C Farms due to weather conditions. Last night was worth the wait. The weather and beautiful skies allowed us to tour the farm and enjoy the flowers and vegetables. We all really enjoyed the evening and visiting with this delightful family.
