Nestled in nature, this New Hampshire home was the perfect place for the homeowner to watch birds and other little critters from the windows. However, the original kitchen layout resulted in pinch-points and work zones that were not well defined nor supported daily use. At Blackdog Design/Build/Remodel, we helped the homeowners transform the space with a combination of crisp white and deep green cabinetry, natural wood tones, and softly veined stone, giving the kitchen and butler pantry an organic quality that feels comfortable alongside those views.

We’re giving you a first look at a recently completed kitchen where thoughtful details create a space that feels both refined and grounded.

Full-height cabinetry draws the eye upward, while a full-height quartz backsplash, crafted from the same material as the countertops, creates a beautiful seamless finish from lower to upper cabinetry. Oak floors and driftwood hickory accents bring warmth and texture, complemented by a rich succulent green woven throughout the kitchen and adjoining pantry.

More of this beautiful transformation is coming soon!

For Blackdog, participating in the Lowell Kinetic Sculpture Race is a natural fit. It brings together many of the same qualities that guide our work every day: thoughtful design, problem-solving, collaboration, technical skills, and the willingness to bring a big idea to life.

Take a look at how we applied our design-build approach to the making of Moose, our 1000-lb kinetic sculpture:

On September 19, 2026, our team will be entering the Lowell Kinetic Sculpture Race with a custom in-house design-build Blackdog kinetic sculpture.

Here's a first look at the old-world-reimagined materials palette for a recently completed design-build remodel project.

The homeowners wanted a game room that could comfortably support multiple zones while leaning into traditional, layered details that would ensure the space felt storied and not newly added. Warm wood tones, bespoke brass hardware, raised wainscoting, custom built-ins, and a moody color palette all work in harmony to bring this vision to life while ensuring both the design and build will stand the test of time.

Stay tuned for a look inside the final space! ⛳🥃

An unfinished area above the garage can become much more than extra storage.

For this project, the space was redesigned as a custom entertainment destination with a wet bar and dining area, golf simulator, game tables, custom built-ins, and more.

What would you use extra space for?
