Owned and operator by Master Electrician Edward Beauchamp, we are a local electrical contractor with 19 years of experience in the residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Ed received his apprentice in 2006 as a student in Pinkerton Academy's Electrical program. He loved his time there and speaks very highly of it, encouraging many of our customers who are interested in it for their own c
hildren to explore it as a valuable option. It was a very developmental program that fostered his love of the trade and laid the foundation for his success. Following his time at Pinkerton, he moved on to Manchester School of Technology where he completed his 4 years of schooling as a journeyman apprentice while working for companies that promoted learning in all settings. During this time he developed his own preferences and skills. He is known to be very good at bending pipes and enjoys pools and generators because those jobs allow him to be outside. Of all the things troubleshooting may be his favorite, he enjoys solving the puzzle of it. Through everything, his end goal was to have his own business and be his own boss. He worked around the clock (literally), working for someone during the day then for himself at night to gain enough of a savings and acquire enough of his own customers to be able to quit his job and go out on his own full time. He dreamed of the day when he could make his own hours and it was his motivation for pushing through the long hours, knowing that someday he’d be able to be there for every important thing in his family's lives. Soccer games, recitals etc. Being able to be there for it all now, looking back he says it was 100% worth it. When he first opened the company in 2017 we expected to be able to ease into it a bit, that we would have a couple months of slow time to really get our feet wet and develop a system and such but that was not the case. He quit his job and it immediately took off. The first year was like a constant roller coaster, anything that could go wrong did. Then it went wrong again. But he persevered. He did not quit because he wanted this to succeed more than anything. And it did because of that mentality. We’ve now been open for 4 years (written 3/19/21). Ark Electric is a true family business. You will frequently see both his wife and children on our job sites, whether visiting or helping out. Ed takes pride in all he does and brings to the company not only his vast knowledge of electrical code and ability to provide meticulously clean runs and creative input but his core values as well. When there are power outages and we receive hundreds of calls a day we work together to prioritize the elderly, medically fragile (example-on oxygen), and families with infants first. Not the job that we could make the most money at, but the job where the genuine need of the community is the greatest. Still today his love for electrical work shines through (no pun intended) in everything he does, and we owe the success of the company to just that. If you have any questions about Ed’s background and ability to do a specific job you have in mind please reach out, we would be so happy to answer your questions for you. Be well and thank you for taking the time to read about this great journey.
