Shop update: I’ve been told back in the day when my dad started the cabinet shop, he didn’t have the big box truck… you know... that one with the name plastered on the side… Of course over the years I’ve taken advantage of only knowing installs with a big box truck or a trailer (we used a trailer in Alabama)…. needless to say installing without it is a pain!

So thankful we were able to make this happen this week!

I’ll give y’all a throw back— a pic of the old box truck, and a pic with how you will see us rolling out to installs now!

Shop weekly update: We have made it! We are officially going out, taking measurements, designing spaces, ordering material, building cabinets, installing them, and the most fun part… getting to see the smiles on our customers faces! With that, we are going to transition from posting a weekly update every Friday evening to posting as the jobs get completed or as we have something to share. We absolutely love all the support everyone has given as we have worked on this building to turn it into a cabinet shop once again. Having this turning point to actually do what I set out to do is definitely where my heart smiles… This is where I get to live out the… “you never work a day in your life if you love what you do.”

A building can become a wood shop… but pouring into it daily… tweaking what’s inside those 4 walls… thats what helps us build you quality, custom cabinets!

I’ve repeated this phrase to so many people throughout my life…. “You never work a day in your life if you love what you do…” that was a quote from my dad he used to tell me growing up… He always knew I wanted to run a cabinet shop as did many of you… I’ve gotten to live that quote out when I worked for a custom cabinet shop in Alabama and now excited to be able to continue that being back in Salem.

We can now be found when you google us!

I try to keep a stack of business cards with me at all times as people are looking for our contact info. But it hit me when someone this week said “back in the day, we used the yellow pages….” Since a lot of us haven’t picked up a phone book in ages, and I’ve recently had to explain to my kids what a phone book is 🫣….. it dawned on me that we needed to be able to be found when googling… so here we are!
