Fifteen years in, and we’re still blown away by the community that’s grown alongside us.

Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate this milestone—from longtime collaborators and clients to friends, families, and new faces. This anniversary also serves as a meaningful moment to honor the late Sean Wagner, Founder and former CEO/President of NewStudio Architecture, whose vision and values remain at the heart of this studio. Seeing our office filled with conversation, creativity, and stories from the past 15 years was a great reminder of why we do what we do.

Two of our own reflect on what’s shaped the firm along the way:

In honor of International Women’s Day, we’re donating to the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota to help build a community where everyone feels safe, supported, and seen - and where families facing immigration emergencies aren’t navigating it alone.

During the week of March 8-14, 2026, NewStudio will donate $10 for every person who likes this post.

NewStudio will be closed on Friday 01/23 in response to the call for a Day of Truth and Freedom, a statewide pause of daily activity to stand together against the actions of the federal government against the state of Minnesota.
 
To our friends outside of MN, please know that the presence of these federal ICE agents has directly impacted members of the NewStudio family. Past employees who are lawful green card holders have been followed and harassed at their homes, current employees have had to take time off work to care for children because local schools and daycares have been targeted, and Adam’s own wife, an established lawyer and US citizen, was unlawfully detained by ICE agents and held in ankle shackles for hours without being able to phone family or counsel to tell them her whereabouts. 
 
What is happening in MN right now transcends politics. Our children, our neighbors, our friends, and our colleagues are deeply affected, and we feel it’s important to take action and speak out against the ongoing injustices at this time.

Terrain at DelVal farmhouse architecture features high ceilings, skylights, natural wood floors, vintage fixtures, and a wirework garden vine treillage. In the ceremony hall, white-washed doug fir cladding, exposed wood trusses, a large skylight, and circular pendants, create a light open atmosphere contrasted by dark ebony-stained cladding on the exterior.

The White Bear Center for the Arts, a non-profit art center, moved to its current location in 2012 and soon needed to expand. The 9,600 sf addition and partial renovation added a new formal entry, gallery, administrative offices, retail area, and upgraded classrooms. Expansive site work included meandering woodland trails, a labyrinth, natural pollinator gardens, dry creek beds, and outdoor classroom spaces.
