🚨 NOW HIRING! 🚨

Boss Estates is growing, and we’re looking for another teammate to join our construction crew! 🏠🔨

We’re looking for an experienced carpenter or general laborer to help with residential construction and finish work throughout the Manhattan and surrounding areas.

We’re especially interested in someone who:

* Has construction/carpentry experience
* Takes pride in their work and pays attention to detail
* Is dependable and willing to work as part of a team
* Is interested in learning new skills, additional training, and opportunities for advancement

💰 Starting pay is based on experience.

This is a long-term opportunity, not just a short-term job. We have several more duplexes and residential projects planned, so there is plenty of work ahead!

This is where a project really comes to life and starts feeling like a home! It's also one of those phases where having a few extra capable hands makes a big difference.

We're looking for someone to help with finish work. No construction experience is required—just a willingness to learn, a strong work ethic, and an eye for detail. This is a part-time opportunity with the potential for more hours for the right person.

At the end of the day, every builder promises a beautiful home. But what you don’t see behind the walls is what can make the biggest difference for years to come.

Before you sign the dotted line, ask yourself one question:

Does your builder truly care about the details?

We’re not just talking about making sure the walls are straight and the floors are level (those things matter too). We’re talking about the hidden details that help your home stay comfortable, healthy, and affordable to live in.

At Boss Estates, we build every home with energy efficiency in mind. That means carefully sealing the home from unwanted air leaks, using advanced weather barriers, properly integrating windows, and sealing even the smallest gaps that most people will never see.

Why does that matter?

Because every little air leak means your furnace and air conditioner have to work harder. That means higher utility bills, less comfort, and more wear on your HVAC system.

Our goal is to build homes that achieve an air tightness rating (ACH50) of less than 1.0. For comparison, many production-built homes in our area test between 8.0 and 10.0+.

In simple terms, the leakier your home is, the more money escapes with that conditioned air. Every one-point increase in air leakage can add roughly 15–20% to your heating and cooling demand. That can mean over $900 per year in energy savings for every 1,000 square feet of your home—while also providing cleaner, healthier indoor air for your family.

The best time to build an energy-efficient home is before the drywall goes up. Once the walls are closed, these details are much harder—and much more expensive—to fix.

If you’d like to learn what truly sets a high-performance home apart, we’d love to show you. At Boss Estates, we’re passionate about building homes that are designed to perform just as beautifully as they look.

📞 Give us a call—we’d be happy to take you down the “nerdy” road of building science and show you why the details matter.

Round 2

Hear us out...
We LOVED the engagement and votes and love towards option 2 in our poll yesterday, however we JUST finished a moody, deep duplex right next door to the one we are working on picking out a color for. It would feel too redundant and similar so we need to table that one. But, we will absolutely bank it for a next duplex down the road!

And, classic number 3! We love it. It's timeless and so clean. But, very similar to a build right across the street. We think we need to break it up.

So, here's some new options! These are pretty unique, but how do we feel about some muted COLOR? Or, a moody neutral grey?

This part is our favorite, and a big deal. So what do you think? Would you say yes to a green house? How about a smokey blue?

At Boss Estates , we want to be different. Striking. And turn heads for both elevated quality at the core and stunning exterior combinations.
