I've been pretty quiet about some of our new equipment purchases. For those of you that don't already know, we are now offering full service stump grinding. Not only will we come grind your stumps, we will also haul the debris, backfill with dirt/compost, and re-seed. I'd prefer to grind the same day as visiting your property, if possible. There is a minimum charge of $150+tax and it goes up from there. Reasonable prices, for extraordinary quality of work.

Throwback Thursday! Some of the first pieces of equipment that were purchased. For those of you that don't know, these chippers are nicknamed "chuck and duck" due to the lack of safety features on them. You have to walk up to them with the brush you want to chip and literally throw it the chipper while planning your escape before the chipper pulls you in.

People have been wondering what Emerald Ash Boorer (EAB) looks like. Here is a great example at the St. Croix Falls balls fields. Blotchy patches or "blonding" of the bark, woodpecker holes, and canopy dieback are all signs of infestation. Please remember, whoever is helping with your tree care needs, keep the debris in the county. This is not a hazardous situation at the moment, mostly cosmetic. Trees take years to rot out to the point of endangering those around it.
