Thumbtack customers are a different breed. This older gentleman asked me directly to come service his yard. My prices are posted for yard sizes, so I’m like cool. Thumbtack automatically charged me $43.17 just for the customer requesting our services through their app…that’s how the platform makes their money, I get to the property , he totally lied about his yard size. The 1 picture he posted of it was deception at its finest…. Soon as we arrive to the property, he starts asking if his yard can be serviced for $40 a cut monthly, his MASSIVE corner lot yard for $40 …. because his last provider was cutting it for $40, but he decided to stop servicing him…….. he wouldn’t reply to calls or texts…….. this Yard is half an acre…. $40???? 😭,the bare minimum for half an acre is $90, I WISH A LAWNMOWER WOULD😭 I’d be better off chewing cardboard flavored bubble gum for 5 hours. Fastes I’ve ever lost $40 from a lead , also the fastest I’ve ever driven off from a potential clients home, completely flabbergasted…. 🫠🫠😭😂
