🪄 And for our next trick… we’re going to build a landscape around a deck and wall that doesn’t exist yet! 😂🪨

Sounds easy enough, right? Just a little dirt work, grading, concrete edging, and rock. What could go wrong? 😅

The catch? The homeowner is a DIY’er, grade had to be raised substantially, that edging had to line up perfectly with the future deck, steps, and next years retaining wall. And since concrete edging doesn’t exactly come with an “undo” button, we had to get it right the first time! 📏

A lot of planning, some serious communication, and a little bit of mind reading.

💦 TIRED OF WATER BUILDING UP IN YOUR YARD?

Sometimes the problem isn’t how much it rains… a lot of the time it’s where the water CAN’T go. 👀

Compacted soil can create “Pan” layers underground that basically don’t allow water to move

That’s where a properly installed French drain can make a HUGE difference. We dig down, get through those compacted layers, install the drainage tile and rock, and give that water a path to move down and away from the problem area. 💧⬇️

Less standing water.
Less mud.
Less backyard swamp life. 🐊

Just wrapped up another Egress Window Well project! 👊

MoonLighting handled the heavy lifting on this one — from the excavation and digging out the foundation area to getting the window well properly installed, secured, and ready for the new egress window. Lots of dirt moved, plenty of digging, and a little equipment therapy along the way. 😎🚜

Big shoutout to Eric with GSW Exterior Specialists LLC for literally knocking out the wall opening and installing the window! 🤝

😂 We LOVE DIYers… but sometimes y’all gotta know when to call somebody else.

Just rescued this Menards “Prebuilt Panel” fence that was crooked, uneven, leaning, and basically looking like a roller coaster🎢

THIS is why we BUILD our fences from scratch.

No cookie-cutter panels. No “close enough.” Every post, rail and picket is installed individually, giving us more structure, better support, and better-quality lumber from the ground up.

Prebuilt panels are convenient… but there’s a big difference between 1 inch nails and 3 inch screw screws.  There’s a big difference between “I put up a fence” and “I built a fence.” 😉

So DIYers, keep swinging! But if your fence starts looking like it needs a chiropractor… give us a call.

And Homeowners, run from contractors building with “Pre-Build Panels” 🏃‍♂️💨 it might be the cheaper quote, but long-term will cost more.
