Welp today was crazy! Thank you! Going out with a bang 😃🧨 I've been picking ALL week long and thought for sure the stand was going to stay stocked up all weekend, but y'all had other plans. What you see posted in the pictures every day gets restocked a couple times even and I still got cleaned out.

The last two weeks here have by far been the busiest at the stand ever. I'm super grateful and it's not a bad problem to have. I however want to serve my customers the best I can by keeping things stocked up. I'm just one person growing organically and farming pretty much by hand using no commercial practices. I am working as hard as I possibly can. I think most of you understand, but I definitely get some rude messages telling me I "wasted their time driving down here" etc.

Overall, I'm very proud of the work and produce I've put out there this season and very grateful for your support at this ever growing business. It's apparent to me I need to make some decisions about how to proceed with this business in the future and I'm already working on it for next season.

So if you're planning on stopping by tomorrow be forewarned I'm out of some stuff. I still have a good amount of Pumpkins and some random produce. I'll add what I can to the stand tomorrow but I honestly don't have any energy to go pick and fully restock it after a hundred plus hour week. Thanks to those of you who are understanding and your continued support.

Harvesting like crazy. The stand is gonna be loaded up this weekend! All pumpkins five dollars again this weekend. A handful of Mums. Finally got my hands on some Apples. All the root veggies. All the Winter Squash. And don't forget the Pepper blowout , five dollars a peck! Garlic ten bulbs for 8 dollars, not quite as big as my large seed garlic , but definitely still plantable or eatable.

The season is winding down , but you've still got time to put up great locally grown food for Winter. Nothing better than pulling out this stuff in the middle of January to make a meal!

Thanks for another great weekend! I will open Saturday and Sunday only for the rest of the season. I am always offering free bags of produce to anyone struggling with food insecurity. Just send me a message, no questions asked.

Despite constant weather challenges it's been a great season here and I'm grateful for your support. It has flown by! I am already starting the planning for next year.

I have arrived at the point where there is still room for the farm and business to grow, but I am maxed out on what I can do alone. I don't use commercial farming methods and it's VERY time intensive. That means hiring hourly workers just doesn't make financial sense for me. It cuts too hard into thin profit margins.

With that said, I think the best way for the farm to grow is more of a partnership/cooperative model. Land access is the biggest barrier to beginning farmers. I am interested in potentially bringing in people with strong skill sets that needs access to land, markets, etc. I don't want to be someone's boss. I am interested in working with other talented, hard working people who can make their own way with a little support from the infrastructure I have in place here.

I have unused land here that could be used for a variety of things : more vegetable production, flowers, bees, chickens, etc. I have access to great selling markets between my farmstand and the produce auction. I have 20 + years of experience as a produce grower and plenty of insight to share. I am open to whatever if it's a good fit.

Strict organic practices are non negotiable. Beyond that, how it works would be pretty open ended. So if you have a strong skill set in sustainable agriculture and are looking for somewhere to utilize it, get in touch and we can have a conversation. I am going to be fairly discerning to make sure it's a good fit. I am perfectly fine continuing as is, but would also like to see the production capabilities grow here at the farm with the right person(s).

Just a heads up... I'm loaded up on Pumpkins and most of them are five dollars again this weekend. Some big ones! Also have lots of ten and fifteen dollar Mums.

After this weekend I change to weekend only hours for the rest of the season. I'll carry a handful of Pumpkins and Mums next weekend, but this will probably be the last big selection of them.

Got hit with big hail last night. Now in the upper eighties for the next four days. Have near frost coming next Friday. The weather this year is nuts. Better get while the getting is good! With that said, I hope to be open through November but the weather might have other plans...

I'm open today through Sunday 10 AM until dark! Pushing opening time back a bit with less daylight. This will also be the last week of Wednesday through Sunday hours. Next week I'm moving to open Saturday and Sunday only for the rest of the season.

I haven't had a day off since January and I'm ready for a break before getting back to work for next season. Maybe even a quick vacation with my Pups 🐶 .

I've got $10 hardy Mums! These are a great option if you want to try planting as they aren't as expensive as the bigger ones. I will also be selling pecks of Peppers for $5 from here on out. I've got quart containers with 10 heads of Garlic for $8! A bit smaller not cleaned but can still be planted or eaten. I'm sold out of my large seed Garlic for the year unless you already reserved some with me.
