🌳 The City of St. Augustine's Tree Canopy Enhancement Program is back!

Beginning Wednesday, July 1, homeowners within City limits can apply to receive a FREE tree to be planted on their private property.

Choose from the following tree species:
• Live Oak
• Red Cedar
• East Palatka Holly
• Redbud
• Yaupon Holly
• Simpson's Stopper
• Winged Elm
• Sweetbay Magnolia

Applications will be accepted through Monday, August 31, or until all available trees have been claimed.

City staff will review applications, conduct site assessments, and select final participants in September. Trees will be planted in late winter or early spring.

The online application will open on July 1.

Another week-long project in the books…

First, Big Oak spent a couple days cleaning and ripping out old plants and mulch.

Then, the fun began.

The latter half of the week involved spreading roughly four truckloads of rock, putting dozens of new plants in the ground, laying two pallets of sod and creating new bedlines around the entire home with two pallets of blocks.

This redesign became everything the homeowners had dreamed of, and it was a pleasure bringing this project to life!
