Experiencing a lack of hot water?
To potentially resolve the issue, try opening several hot water faucets inside the house and then use a blow dryer on the external red pipes (hot water side) exiting the unit for 10 minutes. You may hear the unit activate, indicating that it is functioning correctly and heating water. Alternatively, you can attempt to open the pressure relief valve to check for proper unit operation. If warm water discharges, it may indicate frozen pipes. To prevent further issues during the expected prolonged cold temperatures, consider insulating the exterior pipes with a towel.
