🚧Road Paving Reminder🚧

NOTICE: 2026 Highway Paving begins Tuesday, October 13th

The Town of Sheldon will commence its 2026 highway paving projects beginning on Tuesday, October 13th. Travelers should anticipate one-lane traffic and potential road closures. Please observe & obey all traffic signals and flaggers to ensure the safety of all!

Roads to be paved include:
East Sheldon Rd - Beginning approximately 0.6 miles east of Kittell Rd to Enosburgh town line
Pleasant St - Beginning just west of intersection with Crowe Hill Rd to E Sheldon Rd
Mill St - From the east intersection with VT Rte 105 to Shawville Rd
Kane Rd - From the intersection with VT Rte 105 to Bridge #10.

Heads Up! PARKING LOT PAVING! The work has begun. Please plan on trecking a little further while coming and going through Wednesday, September 28th. Please park in the town parking lot while this work is happining. Thank you Hungerford's Paving for your hard work!

Happy 1st Day of Fall🍂
Early fall season is the ideal time for asphalt fall maintenance. Here is what you should do to maintain your asphalt surface.

Clean Your Driveway:
Remove any loose debris across the entire surface.
Inspect:
Inspect the entire surface area for cracks, holes or any invisible problems. These areas can cause problems with raining or any freezing that occurs.
Repair:
Cracks and holes can easily be filled and repaired to stop the continuation of expansion.
Sealcoat:
Sealcoating applies a protective layer to asphalt that is wear-resistant and weather-resistant.
