Building a timber framed entrance bent using timbers from a shipwreck.

These huge Douglas fir Timbers were cargo on the ship named “Canadian Exporter” that ran aground and sank off the coast of Washington state in 1921.

The Timbers stayed chained to the hull at the bottom of the pacific for over 70 years until a storm stirred up the wreck. These Timbers washed ashore in the 1990’s.

Fabulous history… real privilege to use these in a project

There’s a ton of history in these threshing floor planks that you just can’t replicate.

These boards spent over a century in Northeastern barns, where the natural oils from threshed grain were worked into the wood to create this unbelievable texture and color.

Whether it’s for a farmhouse table or horizontal siding, this material will look amazing.

This is some of the most beautiful material we’ve ever had in the shop. Stop by the warehouse to see it for yourself.

These reclaimed Long Leaf Pine joists were salvaged from the Henry Knapheide Wagon Company in Quincy, Illinois, founded in 1892.

We’ve wire-wheeled these 3x12 joists to bring out that deep brown patina and original saw marks without stripping away the history. They’re perfect for island tops or rafters, and we have several hundred in stock at the Fort Worth warehouse right now.

Come by the shop, say hi to Lefty, and pick out a piece of history for your next project.
