Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento celebrated a significant milestone on June 6, dedicating the first eight homes in the new Sayonara housing community in Citrus Heights. The project, Habitat’s largest development in its 40-year history and first affordable homeownership community in Citrus Heights, will ultimately provide 26 homes for nearly 120 residents. The all-electric, energy-efficient homes feature solar battery storage, EV charging capabilities, and drought-tolerant landscaping, helping create sustainable and affordable housing opportunities for local families. Each homeowner contributed more than 500 hours of volunteer “sweat equity” and will purchase their home through Habitat’s affordable homeownership program.

SkyLine Scaffold is proud to support this remarkable project and Habitat for Humanity’s mission of creating opportunities for families to achieve the dream of homeownership. We are honored to play a role in helping build stronger communities and making homeownership a reality for hardworking families throughout the Greater Sacramento region.

SkyLine played a critical role in the precise and highly complex demolition of Tower 320—an isolated structure in a protected Delta wetland where traditional equipment couldn’t operate. Working alongside key partners, the team mobilized materials by barge, engineered a custom scaffold system using the tower’s existing foundation, and built full access in just two days.

With only a four-hour window to dismantle the scaffold before detonation, SkyLine’s crew executed flawlessly, enabling Controlled Demolition Inc. to place charges and bring down the 277-foot tower exactly as planned—without harming the surrounding environment. The entire operation was completed in on schedule, on budget, and with zero safety incidents.

The project highlights SkyLine’s expertise in tackling unconventional, high-stakes challenges where logistics, safety, and precision are everything.
