Climate disasters are changing the way we need to think about building.
Wildfires, extreme heat, hurricanes, floods, and severe storms are challenging communities like never before. We can't build for yesterday's conditions and expect those buildings to perform tomorrow.

ICF allows us to build differently—with reinforced concrete, continuous insulation, durability, and resilience built into the wall itself.

The future of construction isn't simply about building more.
It's about building better—and building to last.

California is in the middle of a housing shortage crisis. The wildfires continue to make that crisis even worse. Why are we building and putting fuel in the path of a future fire? When will we learn and choose materials that can withstand and survive these disasters? When we build homes that are generational due to their durability, we help ensure progress in our battle to address this crisis.

Building with ICF is a path forward.

Why should Municipalities care about building with Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF)?

1. ICFs Make The Community More Resilient - the city of Paradise was destroyed by wildfire. Here we are roughly 10 years later, and the population is only half of what it was before the fire. Resilient communities help to insulate against devastation like this.

2. ICFs Help Municipalities Meet Their Sustainability & Community Goals - Every community has them. Why not build in ways that meet not only the letter of these goals, but the spirit of them as well.

3. ICFs Can Reduce the Long-Term Cost of Municipal Buildings - If it is good for the people, it is even better for Muncipal Buildings. Every penny saved on maintenance and energy is good custodial policy.

Imagine building homes that are truly generational. When we build with materials like Concrete, we embrace Durability and Resilience. This lighthouse below is a great example. After 126 years of service, the tower was dismantled not because of tower failure, but because the base rock was failing. Due to its durability, it was decided to relocate the tower to Plymouth Hoe as a monument, and a replacement tower was built on a new bedrock base. Building homes with ICF will ensure a future where these homes will still be standing.
