Manufactured Home Foundation CertificationsIf you are selling or buying a manufactured home, then most likely a foundation certification will be required. For all FHA and VA loans, an engineer's foundation certification is required that states that the home is placed on a permanent foundation that complies with the "HUD Permanent Foundation Guide for Manufactured Homes", dated 1996 by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Had a call for me come to look at some basement windows the end of last week that was in need of some repair, turns out the sill's of the windows were rotted and the double pain glass sliders were falling out. The homeowners were scheduled to leave within 10 day's for the winter months and the size of these windows 29'' x 13'' is not standard. So no time to order specially made replacements so I repaired what they had and they came out very nice.
