Finished this job a few weeks ago! 2 inches of closed cell foam turned out really nice! This client is going to have a nice warm garage this winter to work on things! Are you getting what you pay for? Something that has become standard in the spray foam industry is to quote 2 inches of closed cell foam and then spray 1-1.5 inches of foam I’ve seen this several times in the last 5 years! This allows the spray foam contractor to win the job for being a little less on the quote but you are receiving 1/4inch to a 1/2inch less of foam which puts thousands of dollars back in the spray foam contractors pocket depending on the job and can also cause harm to whatever structure it is installed in by not being a class 2 v***r barrier! We finished up this new animal protein refinement facility for AHRS. We installed a 2 inch average of genyk closed cell foam on the main building, offices, and a couple electrical rooms. The electrical rooms got 60/60A which is a fire retardant coating. Other rooms and the main building received a nice coat of white latex paint. Last week we finished this job up for Skyview Equipment. They unfortunately had a tractor catch on fire. The fiberglass insulation was removed and replaced with a 2 inch average of closed cell foam. Unfortunately prices of spray foam are going up drastically. To help keep prices down we bought as much foam as we could before the price increase went into effect.
