This past Fourth of July, Beverly Guffey Smith found herself without air conditioning and temps around 90 degrees. Thankfully, one of our on-call technicians was able to respond and get her system back up and running.

We're grateful to our dedicated service technicians who volunteer to be on call during holidays so we can be there when our customers need us. At the same time, we work hard to make sure the rest of our team can enjoy these special days with their own families.

Thank you, Beverly, for trusting Pritchard Heating & Cooling and thank you to our incredible team for going the extra mile.

From our family to yours, we're proud to be there when it matters most.

It's over 90 degrees in Rutherfordton today ☀️, and your air conditioner is working overtime. 🥵

Here are five ways to stay cool while giving your system a break:

✅ Close blinds and curtains during peak sun hours to block heat before it enters your home.
✅ Use ceiling fans counterclockwise to create a wind-chill effect that makes rooms feel cooler.
✅ Avoid using ovens or stoves during the hottest part of the day; opt for cold meals or outdoor grilling.
✅ Stay hydrated and wear lightweight, loose-fitting clothing if you need to be outside.
✅ Check your HVAC filter. A clogged filter forces your unit to work harder, driving up energy bills.

If your system is struggling to keep up, that is a sign it needs attention. Give us a call before a small issue turns into a midsummer breakdown.

Stay cool, Rutherfordton. 😎

Attention customers,

If your AC cuts off on the outside and you’re a Duke Energy load control customer, check for a red light on the Duke Energy box. If the red light is on then Duke has turned off your service temporarily.

It will come back on.

"I went on a Facebook group and asked people for the best company in this area and they surely came through."

Thank you, Irving, for the amazing 5-star review! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

When your AC goes out, you shouldn't have to wait days for comfort. Our technicians arrive ready to solve the problem on the spot. In Irving's case, we had his system diagnosed and running again within 20 minutes of arrival!
