Last month we visited Texas A&M at their Construction Science Career Fair!

As the largest departmental career fair on campus, it's a great opportunity to connect with future builders and talk with students about what a career in construction can look like. In fact, this is exactly how we've met some of the great people on the King Construction roster today.

Every great brewery starts with a solid foundation.

We were proud to build Stay Put Brewery on Austin's iconic Rainey Street, a project designed to bring people together over great b**r and even better company.

As the weather cools and patio season kicks into high gear, there's no better time to grab a fall brew and settle in. Cheers to building spaces that become destinations 🍻

"We're the General Contractor. The Subs build the job." – Johnny Abney, Director of Operations

The subs build the job. So we pay fair, quick, and treat every crew like people, not a number on a job site.

That's why trade partners from the 1990s are still on our jobs today, and why the best crews in Central Texas put King Construction first. Better crews, better buildings.

Hear more on what it actually takes to build a sub following that sticks around 👇

Ingrid is one of our many repeat clients, and her words speak directly to one of our core values: Do What You Say. The little things, like honest conversations and follow-through, are what build trust long before a project is ever complete.

We are incredibly blessed to have partners like Ingrid and The Crow Group.

A special recognition for someone who has been part of this story from the beginning.

For more than 30 years, Teresa Elliott has been part of the King Construction story. What started with a single project for NYOS Charter School grew into decades of partnership, trust, and shared commitment to students, families, and education across Central Texas.

Teresa was also the first person to call John “The Client’s Contractor.” A phrase that stuck because it reflected exactly how he approached the work and the people behind it.

Relationships like this don't happen overnight. They are built project by project, year by year.

Meet the man who helps turn ideas into numbers, and numbers into projects.

As Senior Estimator, Ed Lambert spends his days analyzing plans, solving problems, and helping lay the groundwork for successful projects before construction ever begins.

Approaching his first year with King Construction, Ed has become a valuable part of the team through his industry knowledge, attention to detail, and steady approach to every challenge that comes his way. At King Construction, we bid projects as if we are going to go build them tomorrow. When pre-construction is done right, the build is protected.

We're grateful for the experience and dedication Ed brings to King Construction and excited to celebrate his first year with us. Here's to many more projects ahead 👏

Why wait until tomorrow for something that could get done today?

That's the mindset behind our third core value: Hurry Every Chance You Get.

At King Construction, urgency isn't about rushing the work. It's about respecting the time on the table. We move quickly, eliminate unnecessary delay, and never waste a trip because every day saved is a day earned back for our clients.

When a client comes back for a second, third, and fourth location, that's the relationship that matters most and that's what partnership looks like with King Construction.

has trusted us with build after build, and every time, our goal stays the same: protect the budget, protect the timeline, and treat their vision like our own.

Thank you, Smokey Mo's, for the continued trust! This is the kind of relationship we build our whole business around. We don't take it lightly, and we're grateful Smokey Mo's keeps bringing us back 💚

Behind every good build is a crew that works hard and knows how to enjoy the process.

Chuy's Leander is climbing toward completion, one hot day (and cold drink) at a time.

A special shoutout to Fitzharris & Co, our framing partner on this one and a sub relationship that goes back 30 years. Grateful for partnerships that stand the test of time!
