Depending on the collection, you can go with a wood-grain finish that reads like real wood, or a smooth surface built to take paint cleanly.

Traditional grid patterns divide the glass into smaller panes, which tend to suit more classic home styles. Fewer, wider grids or no grids at all can read as more modern and let in a more open view.

Aluminum-clad windows and doors are built with two materials doing two different jobs.

Inside, it's wood. Warm to look at, and it can usually be stained or painted to match your trim.

Outside, it's a layer of aluminum wrapped over the wood. That layer takes on the weather so the wood underneath doesn't have to.

The result is a window that looks and feels like wood inside the home, without asking you to repaint the exterior every few years.
