✨ 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀 🌿

A playful take on the Family Powder Room, where color, pattern, and texture come together to create a space full of personality.

Terrazzo flooring sets the tone, complemented by sage-colored tile wainscoting and a fluted tile border that adds a subtle layer of texture. A custom vanity, painted to blend seamlessly with the tile palette, creates a cohesive look, while floral wallpaper brings the entire design together with a final touch of charm.

✨ 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 + 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 🎨
Our Interior Architectural Services are an integral part of how we develop each home — from the overall architectural vision down to the details that shape how each space feels and functions.

Our in-office materials library is continuously updated with samples from a wide range of manufacturers, giving us the opportunity to work hands-on with materials and thoughtfully explore color, texture, scale, and finish.

Today’s selection table: tile and color studies for the bathrooms of a new construction project in East Hills.

These hands-on moments of selection and refinement allow us to develop a cohesive interior palette and ensure that every detail works together as part of the larger architectural design.

✨ 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 📖✨
What a wonderful evening celebrating the launch of Women of Architecture and the twenty-five women featured in this beautifully conceived book.

I was honored to be among these women and to share an evening centered on something I deeply believe in: our homes deserve the same thought, imagination, and care that we celebrate in our most iconic buildings. The spaces where we live our lives are among the most meaningful we will ever experience, and thoughtful architecture has the power to enrich the way we live.

It was especially meaningful to share this occasion with so many of my clients, trades, resources, collaborators, friends, and colleagues, as well as the many new faces I had the pleasure of meeting and connecting with.

A heartfelt thank you to Beth Buckley and her entire team at Benton Buckley Books for their incredible work bringing this book to life, and to Lutron Electronics & Ketra for hosting the event. Your dedication and support made this celebration all the more special.

I am grateful to everyone who joined us to celebrate the women shaping our profession and our shared belief in the importance of thoughtful, meaningful architecture.

Thank you for being part of such a memorable evening. ❤️

✨ 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 🌱🏙️
To close our feature of Women of Architecture, we’re sharing one of the most personal pieces Sussan contributed to the book.

In “Dream Project,” Sussan reflects on how her vision of architecture has evolved — from a youthful dream of a city suspended above the earth to a home deeply rooted in nature.

Inspired by landscapes discovered through her travels, she imagines a simple, light-filled home that quietly belongs to its surroundings.

A beautiful reflection on how our experiences, travels, and changing perspectives shape the way we dream about architecture.

Have you picked up your copy yet? 📖✨

Following last night’s celebration, we wanted to take a closer look at the book itself and Sussan’s feature in Women of Architecture.

The book brings together the stories, journeys, and perspectives of women shaping the profession, and we’re proud to see Sussan’s own story included among them.

Her feature offers a personal look at her path through architecture, the experiences that have shaped her work, and the ideas that continue to inspire her.

📖✨ 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 ✨📖
I am deeply honored to have been invited to write the Foreword for Women of Architecture: A Collective of Unique Voices.

I reflect on the importance of residential architecture and the women whose vision, persistence, and creativity continue to shape the way we imagine home.

“𝘖𝘶𝘳 𝘩𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘴𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘺 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦 — 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘦 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦.”

It has been a privilege to contribute to this celebration of twenty remarkable women architects. Their stories and work remind us that the home is far more than a structure — it is where life unfolds, where memories are made, and where we find comfort, connection, and belonging.

I am proud to be part of this meaningful collection and look forward to celebrating its release Tomorrow evening in New York City.

There is always a sense of discovery when exploring the Italian countryside — finding the subtle architectural details that reveal themselves within the landscape.

In Lombardy, architecture, nature, and outdoor living come together effortlessly, creating moments that feel both vibrant and beautifully understated.

Designed as a warm family pied-à-terre, the renovation focuses on creating a quiet, cohesive home where architecture, lighting, custom millwork, and personal objects work seamlessly together.

A soft, tone-on-tone palette allows the client’s artwork, Persian kilims, and collected pieces to become part of the architecture, while the open connection between spaces encourages everyday living and gathering.
