Emerald's own Brianna White serves on the Illinois Arborist Association's Board of Directors as one of 2 local industry representatives for the Commercial sector of our Industry. When we show up to your estates property to provide the very best in professional tree care we do so in large vehicles that require specific Commercial level licensing. The entire 2025 cohort of Arborist Registered Apprentices from the Openlands Apprenticeship program engaged in "Emerald's Elite Shadow Day."

What's a day like that, at Emerald Tree Care, look like you ask?

Six individuals who have made a three year commitment to complete a U.S. Department of Labor endorsed apprenticeship program came to visit with the team Emerald Tree Care, LLC.

The current team accesses skill levels learned after serving as Arborist Apprentices for one year with Openlands.

The weather outside was straight trash 🗑️, so there were several skill stations set up at our shop!

The goal is that they ultimately complete the hour requirements to complete the apprenticeship program, and then at year three, be ready to test for the International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist credentialing through the Illinois Arborist Association!
