At Normandale Lake Park in Bloomington, Minnesota, Romtec delivered a custom 1,532-square-foot restroom and maintenance garage building that replaces separate aging facilities with one efficient, multi-use structure. The new facility features two ADA-compliant, gender-neutral restrooms, expanded maintenance and storage space, office space, and architectural details that complement the surrounding park environment.

Working directly with the City of Bloomington and WSB Engineering, Romtec provided design coordination, site work, demolition of the existing structures, and installation of the new building through the Sourcewell cooperative purchasing program. The completed facility supports park maintenance operations while enhancing the experience for visitors enjoying the 181-acre Normandale Lake Park.

Romtec partnered with the Village of Orland Park to provide a custom restroom and storage building at Schussler Park, home of the Michael Schofield III Sports Complex. Designed to support athletes, families, and park staff, the facility includes accessible restrooms, event-support storage space, and flood-resistant construction to ensure reliable performance for years to come. The project demonstrates how thoughtful planning and collaboration can create durable park infrastructure that enhances the visitor experience while meeting the unique needs of the site.

A great recreation site deserves facilities that enhance the visitor experience while blending into the natural environment.

At the Smith Reservoir Area in Oregon's Willamette National Forest, Romtec provided a custom fire-rated log pavilion and kiosk to support visitors enjoying this scenic destination. Located near the McKenzie River Ranger District, Smith Reservoir offers opportunities for fishing, boating, picnicking, and exploring nearby trails and waterfalls, making it a popular outdoor recreation destination.

Built with a rustic log aesthetic, these structures complement the surrounding forest landscape while providing durable, functional gathering and information spaces for visitors year-round.
