Safety doesn't stop at the worksite, and it continues every time we get behind the wheel.
This June marks the 30th anniversary of National Safety Month, and our team at Nuko is focusing on strengthening the habits and behaviors that drive a safer workplace. As we review the second week, the importance of “Staying Safe on the Roads” and implementing safe driving practices both on and off the job. Every trip is an opportunity to make safety a priority, and while driving may be part of our daily routine it remains one of the most significant risks many of us face.
This week's key reminders included:
Eliminate distractions such as phones, food, and multitasking while driving.
Follow posted speed limits and traffic laws at all times.
Keep vehicles properly maintained through regular inspections and preventive maintenance.
Practice defensive driving, stay aware of your surroundings, and take rest breaks to avoid fatigue.
Safety is more than just a policy, it's a commitment we make to one another every day. Safe driving protects our employees, our communities, and everyone who shares the road. Together, we can help prevent accidents and create a stronger culture of safety every day.
