Sometimes it's okay to slow down.

The past month has been busier than usual. I've been making trips to all three booth locations, working on projects, restocking, organizing, planning, and spending a lot of time on the road.

A couple of weeks ago, I decided to skip one of my usual trips and stay home instead. I caught up on things around the house, took care of errands, worked on some planning, and gave myself a chance to recharge.

At the time, I remember asking myself, "What happens if I don't get everything done this week?"

The answer was... probably nothing.

The booths would still be there. The work would still be there. The world would keep turning.

Then this past week, while moving some tubs around, I pulled a ligament in my shoulder. It's an injury I've had before, and while it isn't nearly as bad this time, it was a pretty good reminder that we're not twenty years old forever.

Sometimes we choose to slow down.

Sometimes our bodies choose for us.

Either way, I've learned that rest isn't being lazy. Taking a day to catch up, be creative, work on the behind-the-scenes parts of life, or simply recharge is just as important as checking another task off the list.

Today has been one of those slower days. A little planning, a little paperwork, a little organizing, and a reminder that everything doesn't have to happen all at once.

Does anyone else find themselves needing a day now and then just to catch up, recharge, and re-center?

✨ Busy day at Not So Nouveau Booth #8 inside Peddlers Market today! ✨

I worked the store today and had the chance to meet and visit with so many wonderful customers throughout the day 💛 It stayed busy from start to finish, and it was so much fun watching treasures head out the door to new homes.

While I was there, I spent some time freshening up my booth too 👀

It wasn’t a full booth redo, but there are definitely new things to discover if you haven’t stopped by lately ✨

✨ Major refresh day at Not So Nouveau at Angels Landing Flea Market ! ✨

Booth #8 got a BIG makeover today and I am finally starting to see the vision come together 🤎

🪴 Rearranged furniture

🖼 Added several new artwork pieces

🕯 Brought in lots of new smalls & vintage finds

🌿 Started working on the entrance makeover

📚 Restocked and shifted things around to make browsing easier

I still need to get the lights up, but it’s already feeling warmer, cozier, and much more “Not So Nouveau” ✨

There are treasures tucked everywhere right now — vintage decor, artwork, books, unique pieces, and all the wonderfully random things I can’t resist bringing home 😅

✨ Angels Landing Flea Market got a refresh today! ✨ 678 Hwy 65 Greenbrier, Arkansas

I spent the day at Not So Nouveau Booth #8 today restocking, rearranging, and bringing in several new furniture pieces for the booth —
plus 📚📚Blind Date With a Book has been restocked, greenery🪴, and a few fresh touches throughout the space. It’s still a work in progress, but it’s already looking cozy and full again for the weekend crowd.

There’s even more coming next week too… new artwork, smalls, décor pieces, and the finishing touches that really bring the booth together.
