Our History
It all began in 1967, Arnold Brewer and his partner Eric Mueller started Radiant Electric Co. Based in Troy, Michigan these two hard-working electricians worked together to provide dependable electrical home services throughout the Metro Detroit area. Word travels fast when it comes to finding reliable electrical work and their two-person company grew to have 30 other employees. In 19
77, an energy crisis emerged in the United States during the wake of the Iranian Revolution. The crisis led to stagnant economic growth in many countries as oil prices surged. Unfortunately, Radiant Electric was forced to downsize to only three electricians and Radiant Electric Co. Time went by and in 1994, after college and working for two other contractors, Joe Brewer returned to work with his father. In 1997, Joe took over the family business and renamed Metro Electric to Metro Electric Engineering Technologies. This father/son team continued to work together to hire electricians and supporting staff members who follow the same work ethic and customer service standards that Arnold and Eric founded Radiant Electric Co.
