WHAT IS THAT?! 👾 If you guessed "The Infamous Roof Tar Monster," you nailed it! 🛑

Instead of a proper repair or install, someone decided to just glob roofing tar around this pipe and hope for the best.

Here is the problem: The brutal Georgia summer sun bakes that tar until it becomes completely hard and brittle. Once it cracks, rainwater runs straight down the pipe and into your ceiling. A quick "band-aid" fix like this could end up costing thousands in hidden water damage!

Unlike sloped roofs, water doesn't just slide off a flat roof. It sits, it ponds, and it searches for a place to flow. That flow should be well-placed drains, but sometimes it is right around a skylight or a vent. The dark water stains in this photo show that the skylight has been allowing standing water to slowly drain into the building's structure. Don't wait for the ceiling to cave in!

We’re excited to officially welcome two new leaders to the team at Camco Roofing Services — Miles Mendiola and Mike Raines as our Vice Presidents of Sales!

Miles Mendiola brings over 10 years of experience in sales and sales leadership with companies such as Power Home Remodeling, Chick-fil-A, and The Home Depot. Originally from Maryland, Miles attended Shorter University where he played collegiate golf and earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. Throughout his career, Miles has built a reputation for developing strong teams, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and always doing the right thing for the customer. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Ashtin, and their two children.

Mike Raines brings a unique background in leadership, service, and sales. Michael played baseball at Berry College before transferring to the University of South Carolina to play collegiate golf and earn his degree in Psychology. He proudly served as a police officer in Cobb County, Georgia from 2014–2018 before transitioning into sales and leadership roles in commercial plumbing and most recently with The Home Depot as an Outside Sales Representative. Michael is driven by integrity, purpose, and a commitment to serving others. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Sarah.

You are looking at a botched shingle-to-metal transition. Instead of doing the job right, they simply cut a metal panel to size and filled the gap with sealant.
