During the 1980 Civil War in El Salvador my Father was the Bodyguard for the President of El Salvador, Napoleon Duarte.

My Father was a powerful man who abused his position.

He was trained by U.S Marines, he was drinking buddies with Manuel Noriega, he was the Shot Caller for everything ugly that needed to be done.

I grew up in violence. Violence was a comfort zone.
