Northeast Ohio neighbors…after last night’s storm, we’ve already seen a lot of questions about whether the hail was enough to cause damage. ⛈️
The answer is: it’s definitely possible, but hail does not automatically mean your home was damaged.
There are a lot of factors involved: the age and condition of your roof, type of shingles, siding material, direction the storm came from, exposure, and more. Two homes right next to each other can experience the same storm and have very different results.
If you’re concerned, we’re happy to take a look and give you an honest assessment. If there’s no damage, we’ll tell you there’s no damage. Not every storm needs to turn into an insurance claim.
One other reminder: storms like this tend to bring a lot of contractors into the area very quickly. There are plenty of great, reputable companies out there, but before signing anything, ask where the company is actually based, who will be handling your project, and most importantly…who will be there if you need something six months or a year from now?
Unfortunately, we get calls every year from homeowners having issues with storm related work who can no longer reach the company that originally completed it.
Whether you choose us or another contractor, we always encourage our neighbors to choose local when you can. We have a lot of great local companies here in Northeast Ohio. 😊
