From Abatement to Full Building Raze, All In House 🏗️

After successfully completing interior and exterior asbestos remediation and lead abatement at the Joseph Willard Health Center in Fairfax, VA, ACM moved on to a full building raze. With hazardous materials safely removed, our demolition team brought down the facility in a coordinated operation, clearing the way for the future Willard-Sherwood Health and Community Center.

Adaptability in the field keeps projects moving.

During our project at the Joseph Willard Health Center in Fairfax, VA, unforeseen hazardous materials expanded the original scope by thousands of square feet. Our field team adapted to the change with adjusted sequencing, coordinated removal activities, and continued progressing safely and efficiently.

That coordination helped ACM Services, Inc. finish the expanded scope two weeks ahead of schedule and prepare the facility for the next phase of redevelopment.

Last month was all about celebrating the people who make ACM Services, Inc. what it is.

Our annual Employee Appreciation Event brought the team together to recognize achievements, strengthen our commitment to safety, honor an important legacy, and enjoy some friendly competition.

🏆 We celebrated the anniversaries of 22 team members who have dedicated between 5 and 25 years to ACM.

🦺 Our team participated in educational workshops focused on continuing to perform our work safely, effectively, and at the highest level.

đź’š We honored the legacy of a dearly departed colleague, Ed Metcalfe, with a donation in his name to the Inova Schar Cancer Institute Fund. We also introduced the annual Ed Metcalfe Award for Operational Excellence, recognizing the qualities and standards Ed brought to ACM. Congratulations to Rosalba Duran, the first recipient of the award, for her exceptional work and attitude.

âš˝ Environmental and Demolition faced off in our annual soccer game, with the Demolition team earning its first-ever victory!

🎟️ We wrapped up the event with our employee raffle and plenty of great prizes.
