This morning we finished up a remodel project we have been working on.

This project consisted of adding another washer and dryer hook up.

*Meaning a dryer plug and breaker and wire
*A dryer vent kit
*A washer plug
*A washer box w/ hot & cold & a 1 1/2 inch drain with p trap down to the main trunk

But before we could do that we had to remove the hutch build in and open up the drywall on the garage side.

We also installed a sump pump outlet in the crawlspace so it would dry out down there.

And extended the 3/4 PVC condensate drain across the crawlspace into the sump pit.

And trimming every tree on the property in the way of the new privacy fence that was being built.

Wow 😳

We finally have made it to the calm after the storms.

We all know the weather hasn't been very nice to us these past few weeks.

It definitely wasn't nice to these clients.

After 6 days in a row of cutting trees, freeing up power lines, and clearing paths to repair meter bases on homes.

We are back to our regular scheduled work.

As always we are 24/7 Emergency Service 🦺 🚒 🔥 ⚡ 🌩️

Surprise !!!!

Yes we absolutely offer other services apart from just electrical.

Here at 3 Points we come from a family of builders and craftsman.

Tradesman of all kind!!!

I actually grew up framing homes and doing custom interior trim carpentry with my father, Jonathan.

Over the years, we have learned to complete a variety of tasks very very well.

And so now after many, many requests.

We are offering these services through 3 Points Maintenance & Mechanical.

A division of 3 Points Electric

This is a custom build master closet we designed, framed up, wired, up and finished.

We also skim coated the framing closet walls to prep for paint.

I promise I'm trying to get better at posting more regularly on here lol

This project was completed up in Kingman.

This is one of the last projects completed before we left for vacation.

This project was installing a NEMA 14-50 EV charger plug for a new Chevy bolt.

With some 3/4 PVC and many other things I was getting after it.

Finished by lunch and heading home for the day.

This was a fun project fighting against old Mr. Sunshine 🌞

This project focused on problem solving for these homeowners.

The biggest problems being a lack of lighting at the end of a long Lake day.

When everyone's tired trying to unload the boat in the barn you've got it back the boat in first.

And when you're trying to do it in the dark, it's not necessarily easy.

After running power to this boat, Barn wiring up some outlets for a fan and battery tenders for the boat and the mower.

And some crazy bright corn cob LEDs inside the barn along with two motion lights 5000k LED outside the barn.

No more struggling with safety chains and 2-in balls in the dark.

100 amp overhead service replacement & 100 amp panel change/upgrade to a square d homeline 24/48 almost tripping these home owners power capabilities.

We also noted there was too high of resistance on the grounding electrode.

We want to see 25 ohms or less (ohms meaning resistance)

The path to ground had too much resistance requiring us to drive another grounding electrode roughly 7 ft away.

This project was quite a save on our books...

During disassembly of the service when we were pulling out the existing ser cable.

We noticed that it had been burning inside the wall for who knows how long.

Marking another property saved from disaster by 3 Points.

The ser cable was completely burned through on one hot leg and most of the neutral leg.

Miraculously they still had power in the entire house

Now these homeowners are set for another 30 to 60 years.

Emergency Job Recently completed

The job started as an emergency call, caller stated the main breaker to the apartment continue to trip and felt hot to the touch.

Along with a smell of burnt plastic

Upon arrival and inspection it was noted the main 100 amp breaker in the exterior disconnect powering this apartment was severely melted inside the box.

Essentially it was melted into the box...

It was also noted that the existing service was assembled with SER cable and not conduit to match the other two services on that half of the building.

After receiving authorization to rebuild everything from scratch.

We tore it apart, Got everything put back together all nice and new.

Parke County REMC was there very quickly to re-energize this customers service in the heat.

New 200 Amp service construction in Jamestown.

After a house fire turned this structure into a concrete yard ornament.

The homeowners were able to file a claim with insurance and purchase a new modular and have it delivered and set.

Once delivered and set it was time to get the electricity ran from Boone County REMC.

Up and into our brand new 200 amp meter base powering our 200 amp disconnect and load center.

With two 8-ft grounding electrodes and our continuous grounding wire.

The service is now energized lighting many tonights for this family.
