In honor of , we are excited to highlight this week’s project spotlight on a black-owned ambulatory healthcare facility, The Minimally Invasive Vascular Center (MIVC) in Laurel, MD! This new construction spans 27,000 square feet and consists of three stories, featuring high-end finishes such as tile, wood, and glass. The facility is designed to provide patients with a relaxed and comfortable environment, complete with custom lighting and a juice bar. A big shout-out to Studio ARQ, LLC, and the entire team for their exceptional work and attention to detail!

Last week, we were pleased to attend Washington Christian Academy’s “XDAY” event and teach students about the construction industry and what we do. Kudos to Dan Baker and Mara Fitzgerald for attending and teaching the WCA students how to do estimates, how to collaborate and communicate using a Lego building exercise, and provide examples of how we built their school!

Last week, Forrester Construction had the pleasure of hosting a farewell fiesta for our summer interns. The event was catered by Chipotle and featured a competitive game of cornhole afterwards. Executive Vice President, Dan Baker, began the festivities with a toast to the interns for their upcoming senior year. Some of the interns' favorite moments from their internship included: 1. Scott Eckenrode from Virginia, majoring in Building Construction. Scott's favorite moment was bowling and hanging out with his project team. 2. Grady Espinal from Catholic University, majoring in Civil Engineering. Grady's favorite moment was connecting with various subcontractors. 3. Bennett Newland from Northern Virginia Community College, majoring in Construction Management. Bennett's favorite moment was visiting project sites. Best of luck to Scott, Grady, and Bennett! 🌟

St. John Neumann Catholic Church - Renovation & Expansion

Check out this video of our recently completed St. John Neumann Catholic Church project! This renovation and expansion project consisted of a 6,000 SF addition to the front of the existing building, which includes structural improvements for the construction of a new inviting narthex or gathering space, parish offices, a conference room, and an adoration chapel. Roughly 2,400 SF of the building's existing sacristy, adoration chapel, and crying room were renovated and converted into an updated sacristy space, new confessional spaces, and rooms for layman/women and servers. The Forrester Team also reconfigured and added new MEP Systems, provided site improvements to the parking lot and new sidewalks, installed ADA ramps, and provided landscaping improvements. Now open to the church community, this newly renovated building allows more spaces for worship and reflection, emphasizes the beauty of the faith, and provides greater visibility and resources for the Religious Formation Program. Thank you to the Catholic Archdiocese of Washington and Franck & Lohsen Architects for partnering with us on this meaningful project. We appreciate all our subcontractor partners for their craftsmanship, attention to detail, and hard work in completing this renovation and expansion project. 🚧 #Renovation #Expansion #CommercialConstruction #FaithBasedProject #GaithersburgMD
