We don't just paint rainbows, we work with smart neutrals (you heard that right) that aren't an attention hog 'cause maybe the space is about the decor. Want to be bold? Fabulous! As many of you know, Alex, Kel, Lucie & Nika have hung up their brushes and color decks after a wonderous two years of meeting some of the best people and having a blast doing color consults and generally helping transform people's living spaces into fabulous sanctuaries of delight (Fabulous Sanctuaries of Delight is our new band name)!

Where are they now? Alex has happily, and by design, moved on to full-time success with Crafty Q***r Studio, Kel is the Director of Communication at a California-based renewable energy company (remotely - still in Massachusetts), Lucie is continuing in her capacity as an LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Councellor), and Nika is still rocking her post high school life heading into her various callings and pursuits.

We cannot thank all of you enough for keeping us going during the Pandemic. By all means stay in touch, we're still doing the occasional color consult, and also offer advice on how to avoid BAAAAAD PAINTERS and what to look out for in general.

OMG, Flat Iron Cooperative is (almost!) an awesome new woman-founded worker cooperative starting in Vermont. It will become a coffeehouse, market, event, community and gallery space with plans to make art, writing, and learning central to thier mission, and make it accessible and affordable to the entire community!

They're hoping to open later this fall - final build outs are starting at the end of the week, BUT...they need help from people who get that the future of our economy is coops.

Coops are a quiet revolution that is reshaping the nature of work, callings, participation, and worker empowerment, within a structure of offering value, creating jobs and supporting the economy in a better, smarter way.

Supporting coops is a huge way to move the needle of our culture in a positive direction!

Q***R MIC DROP: After a fun color consult, viewing his artwork, signature furniture throughout the unit, etc., this badass client's retro updated 70s vibe is on full display in this new 3rd-floor Somerville perch bedroom (beautiful Eastern sunrise skyline view out the window). This 8-color palette summarizes the rest of the condo with a gorgeous rainbow that invokes nostalgia but keeps it fresh. What a joy to paint!

OMG YES! This bright dining room had *so* *much* *prep* work for the wainscotting (scraping/sanding/digging out & replacing old caulking, etc.) and the walls were full of maaaany small holes due to a poor skim application (bubbles in the plaster / joint compound). Now, after one of our fun color consults with the inestimable Lucie, the new homeowners will enjoy a solid rich umber orange with fantastic sightlines to the freshly painted kitchen. YAY!

SURPRISING SYNERGY: Formerly a white room with flat dark brown trim (!) gets a dramatic style makeover with a well-conceived deep sea green and a rich blue/green divided accent wall. (Wasn't sure it would work; boy did it work!) There are a LOT of perpendicular / parallel lines in this suuuper architecturally detailed room (2 deep & large windows, crown moulding, 2 huge pocket doors on the back wall, plus the two large entry doors!), so this bold diagonal creates a sense of relaxing and peaceful movement and a "hey-think-about-this-a-sec" color pop. This was a fun one!

New coop just down the road in Providence (with a great plucky story)!

In 10 months, baristas at White Electric, a coffee shop in Providence, went from unionizing their workplace to starting one of only a few dozen worker-owned cafes in the country.
